Captain Boris has operated a variety of vessels – from 57-ft. to 218-ft., both private and charter, calling on exotic ports all over the globe. In the past 30-years he served yachtsmen, presidents, royalty, superstars and the business elite. He has worked in the dirtiest bilges to the finest bridges, gaining his knowledge hands-on. With his vast experience in the industry, he is available to share his knowledge with you. His many years at sea have given him the opportunity to see “yacht consultancy” through the owner’s eyes, as well as from a Captain’s vantage point. He well understands the operational needs of a yacht, as well as the importance of a budget.
Today Captain Boris is very involved in the marine industry – consulting in many aspects of the marine industry – from yacht sales and management to shipyards and haul-outs – not only for yachts, but also deep-sea fishing boats, cargo ships and other vessels.

At the age 24, Boris set out on his 57-foot sailing ketch with his wife and 8-month-old son on a voyage from Vancouver to Australia. A second son was born in Sydney shortly after they arrived. (Read more about their adventures through the South Pacific at… www.theunsinkablespirit.com.)
After sailing back to Canada and down the west coast of North and Central America, they passed through the Panama Canal into the Caribbean. Eventually their lifestyle became their livelihood and they started a charter business, which grew to a fleet of three – 110-ft. Latina (originally Enzo Ferarri’s private yacht) 100-ft. Maverick and 57-ft. Nausikaa.
Captain Boris and his wife raised and educated their children aboard their vessels. Once their sons were old enough for college they evolved into managing and operating mega-yachts for other owners and clients worldwide.
